Corporate Social Responsibility

Powering people, not just vehicles.

Halix Bharat Limited will carry out its social responsibility through Manee Foundation, the Group’s not-for-profit arm. Five programmes are planned — in rural energy access, education, women’s enterprise, clean-air cities and skills.

All figures on this page are expected

Halix Bharat Limited is a new company, incorporated in 2025, and none of these programmes has started yet. Every number, amount and year shown here is an expected figure — a target that Halix and Manee Foundation are planning towards, not a result achieved. Expected figures may change as the programmes are funded and approved, and will be replaced by reported figures in the annual CSR report once work begins.

Our approach to responsibility.

An energy network that reaches every village but leaves its communities behind is not a success. Four principles shape how Halix plans to meet that responsibility.

An independent foundation

Programmes will be run by Manee Foundation, a registered Section 8 (not-for-profit) company, separate from the operating businesses.

Funded by design

The foundation holds 26% of the equity in all companies of the group — non-dilutable, non-transferable and permanent.

Aligned with global goals

Each programme is designed around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and will be measured against them.

Measured and reported

A CSR report will be published every financial year once spending begins, as Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 requires.

Halix Gram Urja

Every village. Every vehicle.

India has over 6 lakh villages, and most of them are underserved by any EV infrastructure. Halix Gram Urja will deploy village-level battery swap points, operated by local self-help groups and trained individual entrepreneurs, in underserved Tier-3 and Tier-4 areas.

The programme will train local youth as EV technicians and swap-station operators, and provide subsidised BaaS access to rural two-wheeler and three-wheeler owners — the backbone of rural mobility and rural commerce.

Expected targets
→Reach: 10,000 villages by 2032, 1 lakh villages by 2037

→Expected income: ₹8,000–15,000 a month per operator from swap revenue — a bankable livelihood in rural India

Halix Vidyut Vidyalaya

The next generation of EV engineers — from government schools.

India will need lakhs of trained EV technicians, battery engineers and grid operators over the next decade. Halix Vidyut Vidyalaya will partner with government schools and ITIs to introduce a practical EV and battery-technology curriculum.

The programme plans to sponsor labs with battery testing kits, EV demo kits, solar panels and BMS trainers; to run an annual “Young Inventor” award for school-level clean-energy innovations and fund the winners’ prototypes; and to offer scholarships for diploma and engineering students specialising in EV technology.

→Reach: 500 schools, 50,000 students by 2032
→Young Inventor awards: 10 districts, ₹2 lakh prize pool a year for student clean-energy innovations
→Scholarships: ₹25,000 a year for 200 students annually in EV engineering & diploma programmes

Shakti Swap

She owns the station. She earns the income.

In the Halix FOCO (Franchise Owned, Company Operated) model, any entrepreneur can host a Halix swap station and earn revenue. Under Shakti Swap, women-led Self Help Groups and individual women entrepreneurs in rural and semi-urban areas will be offered a zero-franchise-fee arrangement.

Halix will provide the station hardware, brand, app integration, maintenance and round-the-clock support. The programme will also help Shakti Swap partners apply for MUDRA loans and state women-entrepreneur schemes for working capital — removing the barriers between ambition and income.

→Reach: 5,000 women entrepreneur partners by 2030
→Expected monthly income: ₹15,000–25,000 per operator from swap revenue
→Zero franchise fee for all SHG-led applications — no barrier to entry

Halix Shudh Vayu

One city, one fleet, one step cleaner.

India’s urban air-quality crisis is largely a last-mile transport problem. Halix Shudh Vayu will seek partnerships with municipal corporations in Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities to electrify last-mile municipal fleets — garbage trucks, water tankers, feeder buses.

The programme plans to provide free EV-conversion support for auto-rickshaw unions and public-transport operators in partner cities, to install air-quality sensors at every Halix urban hub, and to publish the readings on the Halix App and a public dashboard — so that progress is judged on published numbers.

Expected targets
→Reach: 10 cities by 2030, 50 cities by 2037 across Tier-1 and Tier-2 India
→Free EV-conversion support for 10,000 auto-rickshaw owners in partner cities
→Air-quality data from 500+ urban monitoring points, published on the Halix App & dashboard

Halix Kaushal

An EV technician’s certificate — not just a job, a career.

The EV industry is expected to create lakhs of new jobs in India over the coming decade. Halix Kaushal will run free 3-month EV technician courses at the company’s planned manufacturing and service facilities, starting in Maharashtra and expanding to every state.

Graduates will be placed with Halix network partners, FOCO station operators and regional service centres. Special tracks are planned for military veterans, differently-abled individuals and tribal youth from scheduled areas. NSDC affiliation will be sought so that the certificate is nationally recognised.

Global goals. Local action.

Each programme is designed to advance one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and its social impact will be measured against those globally agreed standards.

Climate Action

Every green kilometre, every diesel auto converted, every fossil watt avoided — to be logged and reported.

Built to work through India’s institutions.

The programmes are designed to run with government bodies, national institutions and civil-society organisations, so that every rupee of CSR spending reaches further. These are the institutions the foundation plans to work with as each programme starts — no agreement with any of them is claimed here.
