Eight principles. One energy company.

These are not aspirations. They are operating instructions — tested daily in the field, in the boardroom, and in the communities we serve.

“We exist to make clean energy access universal in India. Every principle we hold is in service of that one mission.”

Stena Shah — Chairperson & MD, Halix Bharat Limited

Safety First

Zero compromise. Every volt. Every kilometre.

Safety is the foundation of everything we build. Every Halix battery pack is built and tested against BIS, IEC 62619 and UN 38.3 requirements, with certification at final stage and not yet granted. Every swap station is designed to ARAI requirements. Every charger is tested beyond rated loads. We do not ship products we wouldn’t put in our own vehicles. Our thermal management systems are engineered specifically for India’s extreme ambient conditions — from the Rajasthan desert to the Kerala coast. When safety trades off against cost or speed, safety wins. Always.

Customer at the Centre

₹0 battery. Because you shouldn’t pay for the battery.

BaaS exists because we asked: why should a driver carry the cost, weight and anxiety of a battery? Every product decision starts with this question — does it genuinely serve the customer? Our transparent per-km billing, the AI range predictor in the Halix App, the 10-minute swap commitment — these aren’t features. They’re promises. We measure our success by what our customers can do, not by what we sell.

Innovation Without Limits

Build what doesn’t exist yet.

We design our own cells, write our own BMS algorithms, engineer our own swap robots, and build our own cloud platform. We file patents not to protect territory but to prove ideas. Our R&D centre in Pune is not a lab — it’s a question: what does Indian EV infrastructure need that doesn’t exist yet? We partner with IITs, ARAI and global cell chemists. We hire people who haven’t done it before and give them the resources to figure it out.

Sustainability by Design

Green from cell to street.

Sustainability isn’t a goal we’ve added to our business — it is our business. Every Halix swap station is designed to run on captive green power from our own solar and wind generation. Every battery pack is engineered with a second-life pathway. Packs retired from two-wheelers become stationary storage for rural microgrids. We will report Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and publish air quality data from every urban hub. Our target: a net-positive energy network by 2035.

Integrity in Every Decision

You can audit our billing to the last decimal.

Trust is infrastructure. Our per-km billing is fully transparent — customers can see every charge, every session, every transfer in the Halix App. Our partner agreements are plain-language, single-document contracts with no hidden fees. Our board includes independent directors and a CA-chaired audit committee. We don’t cut corners on tax, compliance, or environmental reporting. We believe that an honest company builds a durable company.

Inclusion & Bharat First

From every village. For every vehicle.

India’s EV transition cannot leave anyone behind. Our village BaaS model puts a swap point in the hands of a local entrepreneur — often a woman running an SHG — not a distant franchise corporation. We price BaaS access to be affordable at every income level. We build Highway Havens that serve a truck driver as well as a luxury sedan owner. We recruit State Heads from every region. We speak 18 languages in our customer support. Bharat is not a market segment. Bharat is the mission.

Excellence in Execution

99.9% uptime is the only acceptable number.

Vision without execution is noise. We target 99.9% swap station uptime — that means no more than 8.76 hours of downtime per year, per station. The network is designed around 24/7 remote monitoring, with technicians dispatched proactively, before customers notice a problem. Every BESS project we take on is to be delivered on schedule and within specification. Excellence is not what we aspire to — it’s what our partners and customers are entitled to expect from us.

Partnership Over Transaction

We grow when our partners grow.

Every FOCO partner who installs a Halix swap station is an entrepreneur we have committed to making successful. We provide the equipment, the brand, the app integration, and 24/7 support. We share revenue — we don’t extract it. Our equity partners are on the journey, not just funding it. We have never walked away from a partner. We intend to keep that record.

Principles practised, not posted.

We are a new company, so these values are being built into the design, the contracts and the hiring from day one — not retrofitted later.

₹0 battery cost,
per-km billing

Battery-as-a-Service removes the single largest barrier to EV adoption in India. Under BaaS, the customer pays nothing for the battery — zero upfront, zero depreciation, zero anxiety. They pay only for kilometres driven, in full transparency via the Halix App. This is Customer at the Centre, enacted at the business model level.

100% captive green power at every swap station

No Halix swap station draws dirty grid power. Each site is backed by our own solar and wind generation, buffered through our BESS units. When a rider swaps a battery, the energy in that pack came from the sun or the wind — not from coal. Sustainability by Design is not a reporting exercise. It is how the network is wired.

Woman-led village swap stations under Shakti Swap

The Shakti Swap programme places FOCO swap kiosks under the ownership of women entrepreneurs operating via Self-Help Groups. Halix provides the unit, the branding, the training and the app integration. The partner earns revenue-share from day one. Inclusion & Bharat First is not CSR. It is our distribution strategy.
